FAQ’S & MORE DETAILS
Where is your studio located?
Our studio is located at 1512 Max Hooks Road, Suite D, Groveland, FL. Click here for a map to our location. Groveland is located in South Lake County, next door to Clermont. It is conveniently located between Orlando and Tampa, therefore, we receive many customers from both areas. We also photograph weddings, special events, and on-location sessions. Therefore, please schedule an appointment if you wish to stop by our studio and talk to us before you book a session.
Who will take my boudoir photographs?
Mya or any of the female staff photographers will take care of you when you come in. Our boudoir customers are serviced by our female staff only.
How long is the session?
Between hair & makeup, wardrobe changes, and session time, you will spend between two to three hours at our studio. When you book a session, please plan your time accordingly.
Do you have wardrobe available or do I need to bring my own?
You would need to bring your own wardrobe.
Any suggestions on what to bring?
Yes! We suggest you bring the following three different looks: Sexy Boudoir, Glamorous “Night Out”, and a “Wild Card”:
- Sexy Boudoir – these are the photos that will be taken at the Boudoir Suite. For these shots we suggest a sexy bra/panty set. Check out Victoria’s Secret Glamour Collection here and Hips & Curves for plus sizes.
- Glamorous “Night Out” – Bring a sexy cocktail/party dress in a solid color (NO prints). This look is also glamorous and sexy, but a little less reveling so that you can show everyone how glamorous you are!
- The Wild Card: This would be anything you want including:
- Your guy’s white work shirt, or his favorite sport jersey
- A “naughty” costume
- A fun and flirty babydoll or slip
Will you be posting my photos online or using them for your marketing?
We will NOT post images online or use them for marketing without your written consent. When you sign an agreement, we will ask you for a model release, but it’s up to you to accept or refuse the release. If you do sign a model release, rest assure that we will NEVER reveal your identity in any way.
When will my proofs be ready?
About five to ten business days after your session.
Will you be taking nude photos of me?
Nudity is only “implied” during our sessions unless the clients requests otherwise.
How many stages you have available?
We have a total of eight (8) different stages to choose from!
I have no idea how to pose for the camera; can you help?
Don’t worry about posing, that’s the photographer’s job! We will guide you with poses that look sexy, enhance your best body parts and disguise the ones you don’t like.
Can I bring or have another person with me for the session?
You are welcome to bring one (1) female companion with you for support and encouragement. No children under 18 years old and no males please. Also, cameras and phone cameras are NOT allowed during the session.
Do you retouch the images?
Yes, we do. Although we want your photos to look like YOU, we will retouch your photos for color, sharpness, contrast, composition, we get rid of minor skin imperfections like pimples and small scars, and airbrush your skin for that super-model magazine look. When you receive your private link to your proof gallery, all images will already be edited. Extensive editing like getting rid of tattoos, hair editing, wardrobe editing, and additional requests after you receive your proof gallery is NOT included on the session price but may be possible for an added hourly fee.
Can you make me look slimmer?
With proper posing and lighting techniques you will look your best – stunning and glamorous
.
Will you do black and white photos as well?
Some of the photos may be black and white subject to the photographer’s artistic discretion. Our black and white artistic style is complex (is not just desaturating the photos!) and we reserve this process for a few selected photos we believe would make a greater impact, based on the photographer’s artistic vision.
Why should I hire you? I’ve seen “cheaper” boudoir photographers out there.
Unfortunately, photography is one of those services that you get what you pay for. Numerous “photographers” present themselves as professionals just because they have an expensive camera and know how to use editing software. That is not the case with a true professional. It is not the gear but the experience and artistic abilities separate a professional from an amateur. Compare our portfolio with these “other” photographers. Many pose their customers in non-flattering poses (some I would say extremely vulgar), the lighting is just simply terrible with images underexposed (dark), and you can clearly notice the customer’s skin imperfections. Our goal is to give you beautiful magazine-quality photos instead of amateur “snap-shots”. If you hire a photographer that relies on “Photoshop” to capture professional images, he or she is NOT a professional photographer. A photographer is someone who paints with light – NOT with software.
How do I reserve a session?
To secure a session, a signed agreement and a nonrefundable retainer in the amount of $100 plus 7% tax is required. The session balance is due when you come into the studio for the session. Click here to choose an open date that works for you and request a reservation. I will get back to you within 24 hours with your electronic agreement and invoice.
What happens after I book a session?
About 24 to 48 hours after you pay your retainer, you will receive an electronic questionnaire that will help us customize your session. The day of your session you’ll be greeted with a glass of champagne and taken to the “boudoir suite” to get your hair and makeup ready. About an hour later after you are all ready and fabulous, you will discuss outfits, and backdrops with the photographer and get started your session.
